The rivet element (10) has a hollow rivet shaft (14) and multiple two types of ribs (18,20) formed on outer circumference (17) of the hollow rivet shaft. The ribs are extended in axial direction along the rivet shaft. The former ribs are longer than the latter ribs and are provided closer to free end (16) of the rivet element than the latter ribs. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a pre-assembly component, particularly hydraulic punching rivet, which has a sheet metal component; (2) a method for manufacturing a pre-assembly component, particularly for hydraulic punching rivet; and (3) a method for the execution of connection of hollow element, particularly pipes.
