PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed abrasive grain type saw wire suitable to working and cutting of a hard brittle material which is comparatively soft such as monocrystal Si and the like. SOLUTION: In the fixed abrasive grain type saw wire in which abrasive grains with 40μm or below average grain size are fixed to the outer peripheral surface of a core line by a first plating layer of a plating layer for attaching abrasive grains positioned inside and a second plating layer of a plating layer for embedding abrasive grains positioned outside, the abrasive grains fixed to the surface of the saw wire are mixture of unit abrasive grains and conglomerate abrasive grains.
