PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof partition wall in a simple structure which reliably closes, if a fire occurs, the opening formed between the irregular lower surface of a deck plate forming the lower surface of the ceiling of a building and the upper end surface of a fireproof partition plate for partitioning the inside of the building. SOLUTION: The upper end surface of the fireproof partition plate 3 is closely fitted to the lower surfaces of projections 1a2 projecting downward from the deck plate 1a which forms the irregular lower surface of the ceiling 1 to close the opening lower ends of the recessed parts 1a1 of the deck plate 1a by the upper end surface so as to form a space part surrounded by the recessed parts 1a1 and the upper end surface into openings 4 communicating between indoor spaces B, C partitioned by the partition plate 3. A thermally expandable fireproof sheet 5 which forms a foam fireproof layer 5' closing the opening 4 by thermally expanding, if a fire occurs, is attached to the inner surfaces of the openings 4.
