PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting preventing its body from cracking. SOLUTION: The pipe fitting 10 includes a sleeve 34 having a thin wall portion 34A, and the sleeve 34 is press-fitted to the pipe fitting body 14 in the condition that the forefront of the thin wall portion 34A has a space W1 between a cover ring 30 and it. This eliminates a repulsive force which the sleeve 34 receives from the cover ring 30, so that the stress generated in a fastening part formed between a projection 34D of the sleeve 34 and a pressure fitting groove 16A in a hose coupling part 16 of the body 14, is reduced. Hence, generation of cracks in the pressure fitting groove 16A in the hose coupling part 16 of the body 14 is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
