PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof vessel with ventilation capability sufficient for collection of external sound having propagated through external air and intruding into the inside through a foamed metal or a filter while keeping a pressure-resistant explosion-proof structure. SOLUTION: In the ventilator 10, a foamed metal 2 and a filter 3 are fixed in a holder 1 of a tubular body having both ends in the axial direction opened. The holder 1 is axially inserted in a hole part 104 of an explosion-proof vessel 100, and joined to an inside surface of the hole part 104. The foamed metal 2 includes multiple minute holes penetrating in the axial direction, and arranged on the entire surface in a plane orthogonal to the axial direction in the holder 1. The filter 3 is formed with a plurality of plate materials 31-35 formed with openings 31A-35A of different shapes of which the partial parts overlap one another in planes each orthogonal to the axial direction, and arranged on the entire surface in a plane orthogonal to the axial direction in the holder 1 on one end side relative to the arrangement position of the foamed metal 2 in the holder 1 from one end side of the holder 1.
