The present invention relates to a PEGylated triiodinated aryl compound and to an X-ray contrast agent comprising same. The PEGylated triiodinated aryl compound of the present invention not only exhibits low viscosity and osmolarity, but also does not induce nephrotoxicity, and thus can be effectively used in an X-ray contrast agent.
