PURPOSE: A fluorescent material is provided to ensure excellent quantum efficiency, to obtain excellent emission power, and to secure excellent chromaticity and high practicality. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a oxynitride fluorescent material represented by chemical formula (1): (M_(1-x)R_x)_(3-y)Si_(13-z)Al_(3+z)O_(2+u)N_(21-w) comprises the steps of: preparing a mixture by mixing the nitride or carbide of element M, halogenide of element M, the oxides, nitrides or carbonates of element R, the nitride or carbide of element Si, and the nitride, oxide or carbide of Al; burning the mixture; and acid washing the combusion material; acid-washing the burnt material. |
