摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a base material for gas diffusion electrode that is highly conductive and gas permeable, and is highly water-repellent without the use of fluorine in a highly mass-productive manner at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The base material for gas diffusion electrode can be manufactured in a relatively simple method. The method includes: a powder material generation step (drying step S3, granulation step S4) of drying a slurry in which carbon fiber, a conductive particle, and an acrylic silicon-based resin are mixed and producing a powder-shaped material in which a carbon particle and an acrylic silicon-based resin are attached to the carbon fiber; and a hot press step S5 of molding the base material for gas diffusion electrode to which carbon fiber is combined by the acrylic silicon-based resin while the conductive particle is intervened, by filling the powder-shaped material into a lower dice and hot-pressing it at a temperature higher than that at which the acrylic silicon-based resin is softened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
