<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to select an item desired by the user without troubling the user. <P>SOLUTION: A display unit 301 displays on a screen an item image representing an item that can be selected by a user. A detection unit 302 detects a screen position specified by the user. A determination unit 303 determines an item represented by the item image as a selection result when the item image is displayed in the detected position.
