<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a Q value of a tuning fork type piezoelectric vibration piece and to downsize it. <P>SOLUTION: The tuning fork type piezoelectric vibration piece 1 is equipped with: a pair of vibration arms 3, 4 which extend from a base 2 and are gradually tapered toward front ends; groove portions 5, 6 formed on the rear and front main surfaces thereof; excitation electrodes 13-16 formed on the main surface and side surface of the vibration arms; and wide weight portions 7, 8 formed on the front ends of the vibration arms respectively. The groove portions are formed so that, where the front end side is positive and the base end side is negative while using a coupling portion P between the vibration arms and weight portions as a reference, a length Lw of each weight portion, and a length Lg from the coupling portion P to the front end position G of the groove portion meet a formula -0.1≤Lg/Lw≤0.1. The weight portions each have a tapered portion 7a in which width increases from the coupling portion P with the vibration arms to the front end side, and a predetermined width rectangular portion 7b continuing to the front end portion therefrom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
