PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent probe containing an aggregate that becomes an enzyme substrate in a reporter gene assay system, a detection system of a microorganism expressing a specific enzyme, or the like and has remarkably large difference of fluorescence intensity between before and after an enzyme reaction, and to provide a method for producing the aggregate, and a rhodol derivative which is a raw material compound of the aggregate. SOLUTION: The fluorescent probe contains the aggregate composed of the rhodol derivative represented by formula (I), wherein A indicates a 6-12C aryl group having a nitro group or the like as a substituent; X indicates a 6-12C aryl group that may have a substituent; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>indicate each independently a 1-6C alkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>8</SP>indicate each a substitute; R<SP>9</SP>and R<SP>10</SP>indicate each a hydrogen atom or the like; and n indicates 0 or 1.
