The present invention discloses a gastric retentive formulation (capsule or tablet) containing baclofen. Said formulation comprises an immediate and a sustained release part whereas the sustained release part is comprised in the core of the formulation and the immediate release part is present in the form of a layer which is applied on said core. The formulation is suitable for once-a-day administration.
