<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery which is a battery installed with a wound electrode plate group and has an excellent charge and discharge cycle performance without decreasing productivity. <P>SOLUTION: An anode plate for the alkaline secondary battery, with a wound electrode plate group in which a rectangular cathode plate, a separator, and an anode plate 1 are laminated, and with the anode plate arranged in the outermost periphery of the wound electrode plate group, has a uniform thickness that has a mixture layer 3 in which active material powder is a main constituent material. When the electrode plate is cut along a line parallel to the long side of the plate, only an end part positioned on the outermost peripheral side of the wound electrode plate group or over the entire electrode plate, a substrate is made as the negative electrode plate placed decentered against the center on one side of the cutting face of the electrode plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
