PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite membrane capable of enhancing reliability of a planar array fuel cell, to provide a manufacturing method of the composite membrane, and to provide a manufacturing method of the fuel cell.

SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 is equipped with the composite membrane 100 on which membrane electrode assemblies 20 are arrayed in a plane. The membrane electrode assembly 20 has: an electrolyte membrane 22; a cathode catalyst layer 24; and an anode catalyst layer 26 opposite to the cathode catalyst layer 24 via the electrolyte membrane 22. Interconnectors (conductive member) 30 are installed on the side faces of the electrolyte membrane 22 opposite to the neighboring direction of the membrane electrode assembly 20, respectively. The interconnector 30 includes a support part 31 protruded to the direction of the center part of the electrolyte membrane 22 on the cathode side of the electrolyte membrane 22. The support part 31 and the surface on the cathode side of an edge part of the electrolyte membrane 22 are brought into contact with each other, and the electrolyte membrane 22 is held by the support part 31.
