<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for detecting a primary synchronization sequence. <P>SOLUTION: A primary synchronization detecting method includes the steps of: calculating a cross-correlation value of each sequence of reception signals at continuous sample points having the same length as a local primary synchronization sequence and each local primary synchronization sequence; calculating a normalized cross-correlation value by normalizing each calculated cross-correlation value by utilizing a point value at a sample point in each sequence of reception signals at the continuous sample points; and determining a position and a type of the primary synchronization sequence in the reception signal on the basis of the calculated, maximum, normalized cross-correlation value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
