PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) pre-emphasis adjustment, without depending on manual operation, without holding identification information by device to an HW (HardWare). SOLUTION: A pre-emphasis adjustment automation system has: a plurality of adjustment target devices connected by a serial transmission line of a Serializer/Deserializer system; and a diagnosis processor connected with each of the adjustment target devices via a bus for diagnosis. The pre-emphasis adjustment automation system powers on the adjustment target devices. For all ports of the powered-on adjustment target devices, the pre-emphasis adjustment of a Serializer/Deserializer is performed. Adjustment results are held as adjusted data. The adjusted data held in an adjusted data storage section are set to an adjustment data storage region that each adjustment target device has.
