PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device that effectively prevents a flying force from being applied to a disk. SOLUTION: The optical disk device 1 includes: a disk rotating unit 40 to hold an optical disk 100 and to rotate the optical disk 100 held therewith; and a top cover 30 provided so as to cover a surface of the optical disk 100 at a predetermined distance from the surface of the optical disk 100 when the optical disk 100 is held on the disk rotating unit 40. The top cover 30 has a substantially fan-like shape including a pair of side edge sections (a wall section 33a and an edge section 33c) extending from a part of a rotation center shaft L side of the disk rotating unit 40 to the outside of the radial direction and an outer peripheral section 33d in plan view, and includes a protrusion 33 protruding from a lower face 31a of a flat plate section 31 of the top cover 30 to the optical disk 100 side.
