PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wild animal capturing apparatus which identifies animal species of wild animal approaching a protection section, captures only target species not to be protected without capturing wild animals of target species to be protected by mistake and improves capture efficiency. SOLUTION: Photographed data by an infrared camera 5 in a cage are compared with set and input template data to perform decision. When it is ascertained that an animal species to be protected enters a cage, the animal is intimidated and forced to leave from the cage. When the animal is decided as an animal species not to be protected, the animal is captured without intimidation. In the operation, the animal is decided to be a young or adult animal.
