This publication discloses a wireless sensor unit (11) and a maintenance method. The sensor Unit (11) comprises a sensor (1) capable of forming a measurement signal, electronics (2, 3, 4) capable of receiving a measurement signal from the sensor (1) and sending the signal wirelessly to a wireless network, and a power supply (6) for providing supply voltage for the sensor (1) and electronics (2, 3, 4). In accordance with the invention the unit (11) is divided into two parts (9, 10), first part (10) and second part (9) such that first part (10) includes the electronics (2, 3, 4) and is adapted to be mounted permanently to a fixed object like a wall, and second part (9) including the power supply (6) and the sensor (1), the second part being capable to be repeatedly mounted and detached to the first part (10). |
