<p>The method for controlling a laser beam processing apparatus (10), comprises producing a processing beam by the laser beam processing apparatus for connecting two components (2, 3) in a joining zone, monitoring the joining zone on the side of the components turned away from the processing beam using a temperature sensor, supplying the signal of the temperature sensor as an input signal to a regulating device, and detecting the temperature at an annular zone. The temperature sensor is formed as a stationary temperature sensor and the annular zone is detected as whole. The temperature sensor is moved along the annular zone and the temperature is continuously detected along the zone. The processing beam is formed in an annular form and/or the joining zone is in annular-shape. The annular processing beam is produced by a moving laser beam and the power of the laser beam is temporarily changed depending on the detected temperature along the annular zone. An independent claim is included for a device for controlling a laser beam processing apparatus.</p> |
