PURPOSE: A monoclonal antibody for Mudeng proteins is provided to detect and diagnose cancer or brain diseases. CONSTITUTION: A monoclonal antibody recognizes an epitope existing sequence numbers 1-40 of Mudeng protein having an amino acid of sequence number 1. The monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the Mudeng protein. A composition for diagnosing cancer or brain diseases contains the monoclonal antibody. A solid carrier is a substrate, resin, plate, filter, cartridge, column, or porous material. A composition for isolating and purifying the Mudeng protein contains the antibody. A method for detecting a marker for cancer or brain diseases comprises a step of contacting the antibody with a biological sample by antibody-antigen complex formation.
