<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating composition for obtaining a coating film excellent in retentivity of resin beads. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous coating composition includes resin beads (A) with a mean particle size of 2-15μm, emulsion particles (B) with a mean particle size which is 0.06-0.15 times the mean particle size of the resin beads, and emulsion particles (C) with a mean particle size which is 0.01-0.03 times the mean particle size of the resin beads.
