<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively and economically prevent erosion of a back slope from being caused by an overflow and reduce maintenance of vegetation, while inhibiting a wetting line from rising due to infiltration. <P>SOLUTION: In this structure 1 for preventing erosion of a bank, the back slope 2 of the bank 11 is partially exposed as an exposed area 5, and the vegetation 6 is applied thereto. A covered area 4 except the exposed area 5 is covered with a wood chip concrete board 3. The wood chip concrete board 3, which is obtained by prehardening wood chip concrete, functions as a water permeable covering layer which is made of a single layer of water permeable concrete, and expands the vegetation 6 of the exposed area 5 to the covered area 4 by easiness of fixing of plants to the wood chip concrete. The wood chip concrete board 3 is molded in a rectangular shape, and disposed on the back slope 2 in such a manner that the covered and exposed areas 4 and 5 are alternately arranged in a checkered pattern.
