METHOD OF RECOVERING LACTIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently recovering lactide as a raw material from a resin composition comprising polylactic acid and polycarbonate by selectively decomposing the polylactic acid.

SOLUTION: The method of recovering lactide comprises adding an ester exchange catalyst such as tin oxide and/or an organoaluminum compound into a resin composition of an improved impact strength comprising polylactic acid and polycarbonate such as an aromatic polycarbonate, heating the mixture preferably to 200 to 330°C to selectively decompose the polylactic acid, and efficiently recovering the resulting lactide as a raw material.
