<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a route information table, that a network (NW) device has internally, on the basis of route information embedded in a packet. <P>SOLUTION: When transmitting a packet in accordance with entries of a flow table indicating a determination criterion of the packet and processing to the packet, each of a plurality of network devices constituting a network transmits the packet after adding, to a frame carrying the packet, route information of the other network devices being present on a route to a destination. Furthermore, each network device analyzes a received packet and, if route information of the network device's own is added to a frame carrying the received packet, extracts its own route information from the frame.
