PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of maximally exerting effects by an ion generator and an ozone generator by properly disposing them, and to minimize adverse effects caused by problems in the ion generator and the ozone generator. SOLUTION: As a display section 30, an ion generating section 40a, and an ultraviolet ray generating section 50a are successively disposed from one end toward the other end of an indoor unit 1 provided with an electric component box 22, effects by them can be maximally exerted, and bad effects caused by their problems can be minimized. Further, as an ultraviolet ray generating section driving power source 50b is disposed on the other end at a side opposite to the electric component box 22 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the indoor unit 1, and the ultraviolet ray generating section 50a is disposed near the same, the electric component box 22 can be miniaturized, that is, the indoor unit 1 can be miniaturized, and adverse effects by noise generated in the ultraviolet ray generating section driving power source 50b on the other devices disposed in the indoor unit 1 can be reduced.
