PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit that is convenient during conveyance as a first object, to provide an indoor unit without deterioration in design even when a handle is provided thereto as a second object in addition to the first object, and to provide an air conditioner with the indoor unit that satisfies the first and second objects. SOLUTION: The indoor unit includes a casing in which at least a heat exchanger is stored. A front face part of the casing includes a projected part 10 projected more than the upper face of the casing, and the handle is provided on the back face of the projected part.
