PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device and an image forming apparatus having this sheet feeding device capable of restraining an increase in manufacturing cost and a device space, with a constitution capable of connecting the other sheet feeding device on the upstream side. SOLUTION: A first sheet feeding device 200a is constituted to be carried toward a copier 100 by sucking the uppermost surface paper in a sheet feeding tray 6 rising by blowing air of an air blower 1 to a suction belt 2, and when sheet feeding the paper fed from a second sheet feeding device 200b to the copier 100 by connecting to the second sheet feeding device 200b, an air blower 1b is stopped, and a suction device 40b, a suction belt 2b and upstream side paper carrying roller pairs 210a are operated, and the suction belt 2b constitutes a part of a carrying passage of the paper fed from the second sheet feeding device 200b.
