PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type transmission belt capable of reducing vibration and noise generated by shocks originating wrapped around a pulley while driving. SOLUTION: The transmission belt B includes: multiple blocks 1 in which flank faces 4, 5 are formed on both right and left sides in the belt width direction abutted on a belt winding groove Pv of a pulley P while wrapped around the pulley P and opposed to pressure receiving from the belt winding groove Pv; and bands 2, 3 retaining the multiple blocks 1 under a state arranged annularly. In the transmission belt, the blocks 1 are provided with cushion members 8, 9 which abut on the belt winding groove Pv when wrapping around the pulley P in advance of flank faces 4, 5 to reduce shock when the blocks 1 clash to the pulley P.
