PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle control device including a data storage for storing data necessary to analyze troubles and storing data during starting an internal combustion engine, for preventing the disappearance of the data due to the power-off or voltage drop of a battery after malfunctions occur. SOLUTION: The data storage (16) has a plurality of types of storage regions including volatile memories (32, 33) and non-volatile memories (35, 36) for storing data. It stores data for starting the internal combustion engine (2) in the volatile memory (33), and then writes and leaves the duplication of the data stored in the volatile memory (33) in the non-volatile memory (36) when determining a starting failure.
