<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device with dual-side emitting light functioning as a lamp source module for illumination or a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device with dual-side emitting light includes: a transparent cathode structure; a transparent anode structure; a phosphor layer; and a low-pressure gas layer. The transparent cathode structure and the transparent anode structure are opposed to each other and have a surface structure, respectively. The phosphor layer is positioned between the transparent cathode structure and the transparent anode structure. The low- pressure gas layer fills in a space between the transparent cathode structure and the transparent anode structure, and has a function of emitting an electron uniformly to the cathode. Furthermore, an electron mean free path of the low-pressure gas layer at least enables sufficient electrons to directly collide with the phosphor layer under an operating voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
