<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for taking out a raw material, capable of efficiently feeding the raw material used for manufacturing a cable to a cable manufacturing device while securing cleanliness. <P>SOLUTION: The device for taking out the raw material while coupling with the cable manufacturing device includes a feed port 11 for supplying the raw material to the cable manufacturing device; and an on/off valve 13 which divides the feed port 11 into a part 17 to be attached to an outlet port 2 of the raw material and a part 18 to be attached to the cable manufacturing device, and opens/closes the feed port 11 when the outlet port 2 is attached to the feed port 11.
