<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to which toner is supplied from a toner bottle to a toner storage means of an apparatus body by rotating a bottle part, and which can detect whether the exchanged toner bottle is new with a simple structure without causing upsizing of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An adhesive tape 726 is stuck to the new toner bottle 72 to extend over the bottle part 722 and a cap part 723. Then, the toner bottle 72 is attached to the apparatus body 1 and when a motor 721a is not rotated even though ordinary driving current is applied to the motor 721a and the motor 721a is rotated by increasing the driving current to make rotational torque high, the attached toner bottle 72 is determined as the new one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
