PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate image processing of display lists to be executed by hardware processing and software processing.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 20 includes: an analysis processing part 211; a hardware accelerator 25; and a drawing processing part 212 which determines whether processing time of the hardware processing to the display lists, out of the display lists generated by the analysis processing part 211, which can be hardware-processed is shorter than the software processing on the basis of the number and the total data size of continuous display lists which can be hardware-processed by the hardware accelerator 25, makes the hardware accelerator 25 perform the hardware processing of the display lists on the basis of the determination results, or performs the software processing to the display lists to generate printable data.
