<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct color shift with high accuracy while preventing the degradation of image productivity. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus forms a color image including toner including at least two toners on recording paper, and has a drive unit for use in forming the color image. The image forming apparatus 10 determines an amount of color shift, which is used in correcting the color shift, from a resist pattern that is formed between the recording paper in printing and the recording paper. Also, the apparatus corrects the amount of color shift by excluding a variation of an amount of cyclic color shift due to the drive unevenness of the drive unit [for example, the drive unevenness due to eccentricity of a photoreceptor 1 of an imaging unit (YH etc.), or the drive unevenness of an intermediate transfer belt 7 at the unit including the intermediate transfer belt], thereby providing the corrected amount of color shift. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
