PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a means for preventing contamination from microorganisms without using parabens in a powdery cosmetic because of the present state including the following: though the necessity for considering microorganism contamination before starting the use of the powdery cosmetic is small, after starting the use, contamination of water and microorganism contamination from a hand, a cosmetic puff, an air medium, etc., are to be considered; therefore, an antiseptic agent is compounded into the powdery cosmetic by considering antibiotic properties; and although generally used parabens is excellent in antibiotic power and is highly safe, a human with delicate skin feels transient irritation. SOLUTION: The powdery cosmetic includes sodium chloride as an essential ingredient. The blending quantity of sodium chloride is not limited specifically, but is usually preferable in 0.001 to 1 wt.%, more preferably in 0.01 to 0.5 wt.%. The blending quantity being 0.001 wt.% or lower sometimes exhibits insufficient effect, and the blending quantity being 1 wt.% or higher does not exhibit the enhancement of effect and is uneconomic.
