PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device, a recording medium access method and a recording medium therefor. SOLUTION: A data storage device includes a recording medium capable of shingle write, and a controller to access the recording medium so that data is sequentially written on the recording medium using a mapping table based on a logical block address included in a write command.
