PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator which has only an agitation action, but no solution sending action in the agitator agitating a liquid between a disk-like rotor and stator. SOLUTION: The agitator comprises a cylindrical housing 10, the rotor 30 and the stator 20 arranged in the housing 10, a rotary shaft 40 arranged at an axis position of the housing, a motor 50 communicating with the rotary shaft 40 and the like. An inflow chamber 15 is formed between an end plate 12 and a stator 20 (20a) of the bottom step, and an outflow chamber 16 is formed between an end plate 13 and a stator 20 (20c) of the top step. An inflow opening 14 communicating with the inflow chamber 15 and an outlet 17 communicating with the outflow chamber 16 are provided on a cylindrical part 11 of the housing.
