PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a misfire determining device for determining misfire in almost all operation regions, while reducing costs. SOLUTION: The misfire determining device includes a misfire detecting means M1 for detecting the occurrence of misfire in each cylinder of an internal combustion engine in accordance with an output signal from a crank angle detecting means 16, a driving system connecting condition detecting means M2 for detecting the connecting condition of a driving system connected to the internal combustion engine, a resonance determining means M3 for determining the occurrence or not of resonance between the internal combustion engine and the driving system connected to the internal combustion system in accordance with a detection result of the misfire detecting means and a detection result of the driving system connecting condition detecting means, and a driving system connecting condition change-over means M4 for changing over the connecting condition of the driving system connected to the internal combustion engine. The device detects the connecting condition of the driving system when misfire occurs, to determine the occurrence of resonance, changes the connecting condition of the driving system when determining the occurrence of the resonance, to eliminate the influences of the resonance, and detects the cylinder in which the misfire occurs.
