PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-refractivity resin which contains di(1-naphthylmethyl) fumarate as a polymerizable component and produces a resin for optical articles having high refractive index and excellent transparency and heat resistance even without using a halogen element or a sulfur compound. SOLUTION: The high-refractivity resin contains di(1-naphthylmethyl) fumarate as a polymerizable component, preferably contains, as polymerizable components, di(1-naphthylmethyl) fumarate and an aromatic vinyl monomer in a ratio of 40-100 mass%, and preferably is used for optical materials.
