The device (5) has optical fibers (40) comprising a light coupling surface (42) and a light uncoupling surface (46) at its ends (44, 48), respectively. The fibers are arranged in such a manner that light radiated from a light source (10) is partially incident on the light coupling surface. A mask body (30) is moveably arranged between the light source and one of the ends of the fibers such that different fibers into which the light is coupled are selected based on a position of the body. An actuator (60) is formed to control the position of the body that is formed as a diaphragm. The light source is designed as a multi-color LED module.
