PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel holding device of a tire mounter which can secure the safe operation of an automobile with a wheel over a long period by preventing the paint at the peripheral edge of the center hole of the wheel from peeling off, and which enables a worker to perform an operation to hold the wheel on a holding table in a short time. SOLUTION: This tire mounter which comprises a wheel holding table 2 on a base, holds the wheel A on the holding table 2, and is used to mount a tire on the wheel A includes a first centering means 5 comprising a pair of left and right struts 5a, 5b which are formed so as to be brought into contact with the outer peripheral part of the wheel A placed on the holding table 2 and to be advanced and retreated to pressingly move the wheel A toward the center of the holding table 2 and a second centering means 6 comprising a pair of left and right struts 6a, 6b which are formed so as to be advanced and retreated to advance from the inside of the rim part of the wheel A toward the inner peripheral part of the rim part and hold the wheel A from the inside.
