PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin liquid coating technique which makes film thickness uniform without producing a striped trace even with a resin liquid of high viscosity. SOLUTION: A knife coater 3 is equipped with a resin liquid receiving face 30 for receiving a resin liquid for coating, and is also mounted with a liquid supply unit 10. In the body 11 of the liquid supply unit 10, there are installed a resin liquid pressurizing face 15 that extends in the width direction of the knife coater 3 and a resin liquid supply port 12 that penetrates the resin liquid pressurizing face 15. A resin liquid for coating is supplied to the resin liquid receiving face 30 of the knife coater 3 through the resin liquid supply port 12 of the liquid supply unit 10, and the resin liquid for coating is filled in a gap 18 between the resin liquid receiving face 30 of the knife coater 3 and the resin liquid pressurizing face 15 of the liquid supply unit 10; thus, the resin liquid for coating is supplied onto a dam member 8.
