<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to shorten a decoding time without deteriorating a BER property. <P>SOLUTION: A MIMO signal decoding apparatus includes: a simple decoding unit (30) for performing decoding according to BLAST techniques or zero forcing (ZF) techniques; an sphere decoding (SPD) unit (40) for performing decoding according to SPD techniques; and switching unit (35, 36) for switching so that, in the case that a hypersphere radius around a reception signal vector received by a receiving antenna is a predetermined value or more, decoding is performed by the SPD decoding unit but in the case that the hypersphere radius is less than the predetermined value, decoding is performed by the simple decoding unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
