DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION THROUGH PACKET FILTERING WITH MOBILE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for reducing power consumption through packet filtering with a mobile terminal, and to provide its method.

SOLUTION: The device: has an application processing unit which filters a packet at a modem for preventing the application processing unit which goes into a sleep mode from waking up due to an unwanted packet and provides a list to a packet required by it itself to a packet recognition unit; and the packet recognition unit which filters only a packet included in a list provided from the application processing unit and provides a packet included in the list to the application processing unit.
