PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which permits a fraudulent act to a detector to detect game mediums to be surely prevented and the flexibility of a design of a game area to be increased by efficiently arranging the detector. SOLUTION: The game machine detects a game ball winning in a second start winning opening 13b of a variable winning ball device 15 by a second start opening switch 15a consisting of a proximity switch and a second winning confirmation switch 15b using a detection system different from the second start opening switch 15a and consisting of a photosensor, and makes a decision about abnormal winning in the second start winning opening 13b on the basis of the result of detection by the second start opening switch 15a and the second winning confirmation switch 15b and increases the flexibility of a design of a game area by permitting the variable winning ball device 15 and the special variable winning ball device 20 to be arranged with the vertical clearance reduced as much as possible by providing the second winning confirmation switch 15b on the rear of the special variable winning ball device 20 provided below the variable winning ball device 15.
