PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer container which is excellent in gas barrier properties and oxygen absorbing properties, and can keep oxygen concentration in a low level under retort processing or after long-term preservation under bad conditions such as high-temperature and humidity or the like after the retort processing and restrain the contents over long periods from being deteriorated and changed in quality without causing its whitening and deformation through even the retort processing. SOLUTION: In the multilayer container formed with a laminated body having an oxygen absorbing layer composed of a thermoplastic resin (G) including carbon-carbon double bonds and a resin composition including modified EVOH(C) and a gas barrier layer wherein its oxygen transmission rate is equal to or less than 10 ml/(m<SP>2</SP>*day*atm), the modified EVOH(C) is obtained by modifying EVOH(A) with an epoxy compound (B) having double bonds.
