PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and certainly detect leakage of gas pressurized and enclosed in a sealed tube. SOLUTION: Gas G is pressurized and enclosed inside the sealed tube 1. A part P1 of the outer peripheral surface of the sealed tube 1 is heated, and the temperature of a part P2 shifted circumferentially by 180°is measured. When the pressure of internal gas G is high, the temperature increase rate of the part P2 is small because the temperature conductivity of gas G is low. When the pressure of internal gas G is low, the temperature increase rate of the part P2 is large because the temperature conductivity of gas G is high. By measuring the temperature increase rate of the part P2, therefore, it is detected whether leakage of gas G occurs. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
