PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device achieving sure release motion of a latch mechanism. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat reclining device 1 includes a rail 10; a slider 30 slidably mounted on the rail 10; a latch mechanism 60 for regulating sliding of the slider 30; and a release mechanism 70 for releasing the regulation of the latch mechanism 60 against the slider 30. The latch mechanism 60 includes a plurality of latch holes 19A-19E formed in the rail 10 and aligned along a center axis S1; and a latch claw 69 which is mounted on the slider 30 and engages with at least one of the latch holes 19A ... by the advance along the rail 10. The release mechanism 70 includes a movable member 79 disposed on a side opposite the slider 30 with the individual latch holes 19A ... interposed therebetween in the rail 10. The movable member is concurrently advanceable/retreatable with respect to all the latch holes 19A ..., and releases the latch claw 69 from the latch holes 19A ... by the advance during operation.
