PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trimming die including position adjusting clamps making auxiliary rigid members pressingly contact a punching blade, and to provide a method for adjusting the position of the trimming die making the auxiliary rigid members pressingly contact the punching blade and adjusting the position. SOLUTION: The trimming die 1 in which the punching blade 12 is mounted in a slit S formed in a base plate 11 and the auxiliary rigid members 21 whose edges pressingly contact side faces of the punching blade are arranged on both sides of the punching blade includes the position adjusting clamps 22 making the auxiliary rigid member 21 on one side or both sides of the punching blade 12 pressingly contact the punching blade 12.
